ROWDY REBEL
Brooklyn rapper Rowdy Rebel, closely associated with Bobby Shmurda and the GS9 crew, is known for his intense, high-energy bars. Following an active period from 2014 to 2016, he went quiet for several years but returned in 2020 with a feature on Pop Smoke’s “Make It Rain.” Born Chad Marshall, he adopted the nickname "Rowdy" after forming GS9 with friends in East Flatbush. He signed with Epic Records in 2014, just two months after Shmurda, and gained recognition with the remix of Shmurda's "Hot Nigga" that same year, along with his debut single "Beam Jawn" and "Computers" featuring Shmurda. His solo mixtapes, **Remain Silent** (2015) and **Shmoney Keeps Calling** (2016), showcased contributions from various artists. After a hiatus, he returned in 2021 with the single "Jesse Owens," featuring NAV.
